Abstract

Research shows that English Language Learners (ELL) consistently perform worse than their peers on standardized exams. Studies have also shown that teachers are not prepared to teach English language learners effectively. This school improvement plan was created with the goal of improving the performance of struggling students. Through increasing teacher efficacy, students will succeed more. This plan includes a professional development strategy, opportunities for peer learning, and coaching for teachers.
