Abstract
This school improvement plan (SIP) is a comprehensive review of research, action plan and steps to provide evidence-based strategies for implementing an effective Outdoor Learning Lab (OLL) at North High School (NHS). The literature review will detail foundational research, which has demonstrated students’ academic and social-emotional gains in a science-based outdoor learning or garden-based education setting. The goal is to increase student conscientiousness in the self-contained earth science classroom during the 2024-2025 school year.
