"Olive Oil Jar"

Acquired at Samaria-Sebaste in December 1974. Dated 63 BC to AD 323 during the Roman period.

This type of jar was used in households to store fuel for the lamp. Read the parable of the ten maidens (Matthew 25: 1-13).
