Description

Ephesus igured prominently in Paul’s strategy to reach all of Asia Minor (the Roman Provide of Western Turkey). For over two years, he labored here (Acts 19-20). His letter to the church here reflects a mature understanding of God’s design for mankind in Jesus Christ. Later the Apostle John (and according to one legend, Mary the mother of Jesus) resided here, providing the leadership for the early churches of the area. The Book of Revelation also contains an address to the brethren here in time of growing pressure (Rev 2: 1-7).
