Founded in 1882, Northwestern Classical Academy (later Northwestern Junior College and Northwestern College) was to be "an Institution of learning for the promotion of Science and Literature in harmony with, and Religion as expressed in, the Doctrinal Standards of the Reformed Church in America." The collection displayed here includes the original Constitution and By-laws, the charter subscription list, college catalogues, and issues of The Classic, Northwestern Classical Academy's student publication. Numerous images of the campus, faculty, students, and supporters are included as well.

For more on the Northwestern Academy, see Dr. Doug Anderson's article, '''Our People Excel in the Love of Education': Northwestern Classical Academy, Iowa, 1882-1928."
