Abstract
John DeBrown (de Bruyne) was a merchant in Thedford, Nebraska. Though born in Germany, he was Dutch. The collection consists of correspondence and business papers mostly written in Dutch. There is also a notebook from Fremont, Nebraska and other Dutch newspaper clippings.
The collection was transferred to Northwestern Archives from the Nebraska Historical Society.
