Abstract
John H. Kregel was born in Meppel, Denthe, The Netherlands in 1883 to Harm J. Kregel and Hendrkje Lucas. He immigrated to Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 1899 and was a graduate of Hope College and Western Theological Seminary, Holland, Michigan. Pastorates in the Reformed Church in America included Chicago, Illinois; Kalamazoo, Michigan; Hull, Iowa; and Waupun, Wisconsin. Two books (written in Dutch) record sermons and baptisms at First Reformed Church, Hull, Iowa (1919-1924). Three folders contain sermons (English), a letter written by Kregel regarding church in Waupun, and correspondence with his son, Herman J. Kregel.
