Abstract

Tracy Huitink (1915-2006) was an alumna of Northwestern Classical Academy (1934) and Northwestern Junior College (1936). She pursued nursing training at Methodist Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa, followed by studies at the Missionary Training Institute in Nyack, New York, which was affiliated with the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Huitink served as a part-time nurse and secretary in Aden, Arabia, worked with Vacation Bible Schools in South Dakota, assisted at a home for unwed mothers in North Carolina, and contributed to a church start in San Antonio, Texas.

The collection includes religious tracts, Christian and Missionary Alliance training materials, and two scrapbooks: one includes religious tracts, and the other was made for an NWC Jr. College assignment. It features magazine clippings arranged to depict the life of a fictional family, with a focus on child-rearing.
