Abstract

Friedhelm Radandt was President at Northwestern College, Orange City, Iowa (1979 -1985) and then at The King’s College in New York. In 2016, Radandt published his memoir, The Radio Signal, detailing growing up in Eastern Pomerania in World War II. He also chronicles the childhood experiences of his wife, Elizabeth Jobs, an ethnic German living in Warsaw, Poland.

This collection contains letters (fully transcribed and translated by Radandt) from German friends detailing their experiences toward the end of the war and the invasion of Germany by the Russians. There is also an original Ahnentafel (a Nazi geneological questionnaire) only partially filled out by Radant’s father.
