About the Author
Emily Stokes holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in printmaking from Arizona State University and bachelor’s degree in studio art and English from Wellesley College. She has had solo exhibitions at Arizona State, the University of Michigan Hospital, and Mallett’s Creek Library in Ann Arbor, Mich. Her work has also been part of group exhibitions at galleries and art centers across the country. Awards include an artist summer residency at Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pa., and “Best of Show” at the Mid American Print Council’s juried show in 2008. Prior to joining Northwestern's faculty, she taught at Owens Community College in Toledo, Ohio, and served as an instructor for the Ann Arbor Art Center in Ann Arbor, Mich.
