Abstract

These papers are in two parts. The first part is the World War I papers of Walter Colbeck, private, Co. C, 113th American Train. These include a 1918 diary of Camp Shelby, military papers, a photographs, postcards, and souvenir books of Europe. The second part is the World War II papers of Arthur William Nicolai, Jr., technician 4th grade, 419th Field Artillery, 10th Armored Division. These include discharge papers, concentration camp photocards, service pins, patches, clippings, postcards, memos, and telegrams.

These papers were collected by Lois Nicolai, daughter of Walter Colbeck and wife of Arthur William Nicolai, Jr. They were donated October 2016 to the NWC Archives by Lois Nicolai's daugher, Shelley Eneboe.
