Abstract
Dick Dykstra was born in Perkins, Iowa, to Ed and Harriet Dykstra. He attended Northwestern Junior College in 1941 and was called up for duty in the Army Air Corps in 1943. Following the war, he became a pharmacist in Hull, Iowa. Memoir is a book entitled, “Goed Werk Spreekt Voor Zich, A Short Biography of Dick Dykstra’s Early Life & Military Service in World War II,” written by Deborah Farrell Menning in 2012.
